I bought it thinking itd be cool, like wipe out... and it does a nice enough job... not AS nice... anyways
be warned it eats some finishes off metal...
I used it on my SVT40 bolt and carrier... i have 3 plum SVTs and 1 gold one.
It ate the gold finish off the thing in 5 minutes. The plum ones were tougher and only lightened slightly.
The spray bottle product doesnt hurt the finish.. so i'll be using that from now on.
Besides the stupid plastic hose applicator with the hoppes elite doesnt fit into a 30 cal barrel so it gets everywhere and doesnt apply necessary pressure to get the product from the breech to the muzzle. So if you have a muzzle brake you're screwed as you cant blow the product in from both ends.
