Well the Provincials are done and I have to ask/comment on my situation that required me to reposition my holster and front mag pouch.
First off... I'm 5' 5" with a 31" waist and weight 137 LB... Small person I am. Shoot Production.
I know where/what my hip bone is and that all equipment must be behind the front of my hip bone.
And going by App E3:
I was told at Chrony that my equipment was too far forward. I showed them where MY hip bone is and touched the front of my hip bone and that the front of my equipment is just behind the front of my hipbone. I was told as a general guide line that equipment should line up with the middle seam of your pants. Yes... true that is in the area of one's hipbone but my equipment was still just behind the front of my hipbone. Anyhow, I sensed that I was going to get nowhere on this issue without putting up a big stink and having to call over the RM so I made the quick adjustment.
By nature I'm one who avoids conflict unless I really have too and seeing that I'm in the middle of a match I didn't want to make a fuss... Should I have called over the RM to to make the final decision OR was I incorrect with my equipment placement?
Did it affect my performance... after chrony was lunch than off to stages 1 & 2... I did ok on Stage 1 but messed up 2 a bit, could have been the 1 hour break and a full tummy or maybe the re-positioning of my equipment but the rest of the day went well.
