Hi All,

I was just wondering if anybody knows of a good place for Good Trap Shooting Coaching / Instruction in SW Ontario. I know that there is a place in Hamilton - are there any others? The group of guys that I have recently started to shoot with are great and very helpful but I could do with some intensive one-on-one instruction. Maybe two or three full days coaching until I improve. I have had a lay off from shooting for ten years and I have recently taken to Trap shooting. I thought that the 'old magic' would return but it has not. I am lucky to hit 9 or 10 out of 25 ! I need the equivalent of ###### for shooting!!!!!!!

Nora Ross and Leo Harrison III usually come to Ontario on an annual basis. The will do clinics and I know Nora will give a private lesson.

Ron, I sent you a private message.

Could you please send me some info about Nora Ross and Leo Harrison III as well. I would like to improve my scores and know that it will not happen by myself, I need some professional advice

Thanks in advance

Jim Close ... jclosen224@rogers.com ... organizes the Nora Ross clinics. She usually comes during June and the last couple of years the clinics have been at Twin Cities. Twin Cities is between K/W and Stratford.

Verne Higgs organized the last Leo clinic, which was held at St. Thomas. I expect to see Verne on Sunday and will try and find out if Leo will be coming up this year.

I also heard that Chris Vendel may be coming this summer. I expect he will be in the Hamilton / Toronto area.

PM me if you would like some more information.

Nora Ross and Leo Harrison need 10 students. Harlan Campbell only takes 6 students. Nora and Harlan run a 2 day clinic and Leo's is 1 day. I believe they all charge around $300 US for each student. Targets are extra and you supply your own ammunition. I've had clinics from 2 of the 3 and some private lessons as well. Great value, I don't regret spending a penny of that money. They all have different techniques and styles and I have gained good information each time. The real bonus is that they are wonderful folks to get to know.

Thank you very much for the info, I will try to contact them to make and see if I can get a spot.

Nora will be at Bridgeport Rod and Gun again this year between Kitchener and Guelph.
This has been her venue for the past two years. I have taken her clinic and also had a private lesson with her and will agree money well spent. You will improve more in a day than you will shooting for 5 years on your own.
Regards

+1 for Nora. I'm a relatively new shooter (a little less than a year) and her instruction helped ingrain some good habits. Money well spent.

Why not take some lessons from Jim Close who organizes the aforementioned clinics. Jim is a great guy and is very good at what he does
