Progress of my custom 6.5 Swede

It's so cool to watch the gun consistently make a hole right where the crosshairs are. :) And that was with factory ammo.

All-in-all I'm *really* happy with it. Gun shot really well until the scope got bumped.

With my cheek against the cheek piece, I can actually hear that big heavy barrel *ring* after each shot. Lasts for a fair while, too. It's so cool.

Here's the hostages target, shot at 100yds. Not actual size. :) The holes are 6.5mm, and the target is 11"x17." A bad day for two of the hostages. 8)

And here's a couple more shots, taken on the day of the Listowel match, (That's where I shot the target above.)

The next things to do with the rifle are mounts and scope.

The Tasco 6-24x42 MilDot (which really isn't that bad) is held up by a pair of Weaver rings, that are just barely high enough to allow the 42mm objective to clear the barrel.

I have a set of the extra tall Burris adjustable rings, with inserts, which should be tall enough for the 50mm Leupold scope I want to put on it. (Saving for it...)

I'm only shooting reloads in the rifle now.
