Part of my negotiations for peace with Gary involved him agreeing to let me put another cool gun up on the auction block for another PROGRESSIVE SALE! Since he was willing to pay any price to get that cool guy chair back, I knew he'd agree to my terms. He had no idea what I had planned, though :D

scope, base, and bipod NOT included, sorry!

I have up for sale the SAKO TRG-42 .338 Lapua Magnum, a legendary long range precision platform designed to work in the coldest, nastiest environments on the planet! Designed in the icy lands of Finland, the TRG-42 comes from a long line of precision rifles, ruggedized in the 1990s to perform above and beyond the expectations of common sniper rifles. Since then, the TRG line has been delivering sub-0.5MOA performance around the world from Africa to Asia to Europe in the hands of about 15%(!) of the national armed forces of the planet. This is a serious rifle for shooters looking make long-range a priority or who want to join the mile-long club -- it will do it, it has done it. I even have the .338LM match ammo required to make it happen!

Look at the crazy features it comes with:

  • Phosphatized Finish -- Barrel and action protected with a specialized coating for unmatched weather resistance
  • Olive Drab Stock -- Aluminum chassis skeleton and full bedding block running the length of the stock for extreme rigidity
  • Full Adjustable -- Positional shooting is made easy with a fully adjustable cheek riser and buttpad spacer system for LOP and angle.
  • Sling and Bipod Ready -- SAKO's engineers thoughtfully included positions for QD slings and arguably the strongest factory bipod in the .338 weight class
  • Half-MOA Accuracy -- The TRG-42 is capable of ≤0.5MOA from the factory using match grade .338 Lapua Magnum ammunition
  • Chrome-Moly Threaded Barrel -- Longer-lived throat than stainless steel for exceptional consistency through the 27.125" barrel's lifetime. Ready for brake or compensator.
  • Adjustable Trigger -- Able to be adjusted from 2lb to 5lb without gunsmithing. Select the weight that's right for your application.
  • Detachable Box Magazine -- Five rounds of .338 Lapua Magnum on deck. Being detachable, 5+1 is possible with this setup.

Needless to say, Gary is grumbling in a corner. But, I am a sucker for Progressive Sales, and I like doing them with cool guns, so here we are!

New to our Progressive Sales? I have this handy primer from our last one for you to gander at!

Here's how it works: I just dropped the price on this gun $100, right now, just like that. Every day, I drop it another $25 and usually I will laugh like a supervillain when I do this. You are competing against everyone else... gambling. Do you wait one more day for it to go down an extra $20, or do you buy it before someone else gets trigger happy? I only have one gun at this price -- even if I had a second rifle in the store, only one is on progressive sale, and only one goes at that price. You have to play your cards right, because the first one sold is the only one sold!

The winner? He or she gets a cool gun at a discount. Whoever buys first, wins!

This gun is down $100 from our normal retail price. Tomorrow, I will knock another $25 off the price. Every day after that, I will do that again, until this rifle sells. When you buy it and win the game, I will package it up and get it direct to your door, signature required/insured/expedited!

Gary has learned never to make a deal with me. Cool CGNer Caramel, however, may not yet have learned this, because I am pretty sure precision guns are right up his alley! You're all competing with a seasoned veteran!

Cheers,
Daniel

Sure i still have a ton of ammo left in 338LM and all my reloading gear but did put a target # in my mind, if it ever get close to that, i wont have any choice, i will have to go for it... JP.

If somehow caramel forgets about this and it goes a fair bit below whatever wallet screaming target he has in mind. I'll consider it. :p

Wanstalls you guys should try doing an auction one time and when the bids stop coming for a span of an hour then its over see how that goes? Good or bad Idea?
