Just a quick note to those who are experiencing issues with the new Promag mags.
The two I purchased turned my 10/22 into a jamomatic with extraction issues and stovepipes, so I decided to figure out what the issue was.
I used a sharpie marker on the bottom of the bolt to determine where it was contacting the mag lips. Put in a mag and cycled it a few times, checked the bolt and saw that there was quite a bit of the marker ink rubbed off on the right side of the bolt.
I pulled the gun apart and proceeded to dremel that part of the bolt with a semi-course wheel. Don't take off TOO much. Then I polished the bolt to a nice shiny finish again.
Put the gun back together and did a function test with 20 rounds.
Not a single issue.
Obviously, you will need to tailor how much you need to grind off / polish up for your individual bolt, but this seems to do the trick.
Also tested with my TI25 mags and they still function perfect as well.
Just a little FYI for you guys, hope the info helps.
