Promag Scope mount

Side mount bolt is the wrong thread? I am sure most have run into this:( Does anyone know what size I need for replacing it and what exactly I should use?
Any help or direction would be greatly appreciated!

thats wierd, i had a promag mount and it work fine?? what rifle and is the mount new or used,
 
Of course that would be helpful info doh! The rifle is a norinco m305. Brand new rifle and mount. But the threading that came with it is most definitely to large
 
hmmm well maybe it has to do with the model of the mount. It is their see thru M14 mount? Were you able to hand thread the bolt in?
 
I just cleaned the bolt hole and it hand theaded the mount bolt until finger tight.
Once all was in torqued to spec.
