I hear people call it "skeets" all the time, I know it's done out of ignorance so I just correct them and move on.
Tye people that come out to shoot, and call the clays "skeets" are usually the guys that claim to be great shots, and then hit less than 50% at skeet.

The young lad in question has been pushing for 50 straight patch the past month or so, ran 49/50 in 20ga on Monday. Not figuring it's far off.
The way things are going, I am thinking I have three chances to hand out a 25 patch this summer. Two newer shooters have shot 24 recently, and one longer term shooter shot a 24 the other day. Another young shooter changed jobs and no longer shoots with us, after shooting a 24 when he trapped the trigger on his station 7 double, and the gun didn't fire. Another younger shooter that is going for 50 has only shot a couple of times this summer.
