Proof Marks ?

These marks are on the barrel of an "Eastern Flintlock" pistol . The barrel is 12" long and about 58 Cal. Knowing that they used parts from other countries does anyone recognize the origin of these proofs?

My guess is ottoman perhaps ? Could we get a picture of the whole gun mabye the style will give it away.

Best I got is not European, google seems most unhelpful looking up non European proof marks though.

I am not convinced they are proof marks as opposed to maker's marks. There appear to be gazillions (technical term) of those and no easy way to assigning one to a particular maker. My wild guess would be a spanish maker's mark based on the depth and shape of the mark but that is a wild guess and independent of the origin of the completed gun

It does not look at all Middle Eastern to me, but, rather, European.

It does strike me as Ottoman, the proofmarks are a mystery.

The original owner was a Newfoundland Sealer--so maybe you have something there ☺☺☺
