Proper cleaning technique for VZ 58?

I used to shoot my SKS all the time with corrosive ammo, just to see how much it would take I wouldn't clean it at all. After a year the barrel, bolt looked fine but the gas piston did not want to come out after it sat for a few months, another trip to the range fixed that right up.
With my CZ I bring some windex with me to the range and spray the bolt, barrel, and gas sytem with it. After I get home I use the boiling water treatment then oil it up with some CLP, and run a oiled patch down the bore.
No sings of rust in over 2 years.
