Proper sling for a Cooey 78

I have a Cooey 78 Its similar to the 75 but with the 82 peep rear sight and hooded sight. I wanted to get a retro style sling for it.

I was looking at No4's, or leather but I think it be too stiff, Or Green webbing M1 carbine style.

What would you install?

The 78 had nothing to do with military so I'm guessing that many that were put on back in the day were likely leather. But it all depends on what you like. It would probably look okay with anything so perhaps a nice canvas type?

Something other then a black nylon or hunting rifle style.
