Thanks CanadaAmmo. I bought one of your 1911s with the 1000 rounds packs. It arrived today. I am very pleased.

To others, don't worry about the time it takes. It is worth it. Communication was satisfactory as CanadaAmmo sent me emails at all the stages in the process that they committed to. I followed up with the CFC to ensure that everything moved along at a good pace. The CFC person I dealt with stated that it normally takes 5 days to 2 weeks to process a gun purchase. She made this statement after she found that the transaction was approved within a day from when CanadaAmmo sent me the email stating that the transfer was in process.

Once again CanadaAmmo, thanks.
 
I have had pretty good luck with canam for the most part. They are about the only people that will even ship ammo to the NWT, and for free!! Pretty good company overall with great customer service and products
 
Does CanAmmo send out an email when the ATT paperwork is put in so we know when to hassle the CFO? Just sitting here 10 days after purchase and it's still sitting at the Payment Processed stage.
 
Since I posted a bit of a bash on Canada Ammo, I thought I would detail the complete transaction and my conclusions.

Ordered on 02/18/13.
Got email on 02/22/13 saying that "The order will now be provided to our shipping department to ship out which is normally done within 2 business days with shipping times variable depending on your location."
On the 27th I put my first post in above.
On the 28th I put in the second. That seemed to get things moving.
On 03/01/13 got an email that it had shipped.
Today 03/07/13 it arrived. Well packaged and all is in proper order. The free targets were a nice touch.

Conclusions:
1) Excellent price on the product I bought.
2) Communications are a bit weak.
3) Packaging were good to very good. I can also tell a horror story about the 4 rough use knives you sent me if you like.
4) Shipping time. Not bad from BC to mid north Ontario.

Would I buy from Canada Ammo again?
Maybe.
There has been one very not satisfactory transaction (need to pack things better) and one good or better transaction.
If there is another good deal on something I "want" we may do business again.
I will have a more realistic expectation of their turnaround time based on the past two experiences.


 
I placed my first order from them this week so hopefully it all goes smooth. So far I placed order Sunday got processed Tuesday and thats it. I'm supposed to get an email with my transfer# but nothing yet and the order # they gave me does nothing on there website. Might be to soon yet. But if is it's going to take 4-5 days to get the transfer started I'm not going to be happy. But maybe they have already I don't know

I got this message : Processed - Charged and payment completed

Does that mean it is not shipped yet ?
