I'm curious what experience there is with different bullet weights as fired out of Sub2K's, JR's, CX4's, etc.
For example, 9mm 115 vs 124 vs 147.
What effect and utility is there for each?
How does an 18.6" barrel influence the different masses intended for 4-5"?
Would a "subsonic" round still come out ridiculously over 1000 fps?

I have a Hi-Point in 9mm and in 40. Both run very well. I have used them in competitions.

As for the original question: Each gun is different. Buy a box of each bullet weight and see if your gun has a big favourite.

If you are shooting outdoors with no ear protection, I guess a subsonic round would be a bit quieter - but in a carbine I think it would be super sonic.
