Meh MOA accuracy at 100m for a higher end rifle is low IMO

for the same money you could get a used Sako TRG 42 or a 22 which would shoots lights out compared to this thing. How far do you plan on shooting? I just sold a 300 norma because I'm always shooting 1000m or less and for that any 308 based 6mm or 6.5 cartridge will do.

stock looks eerily similar to a KRG bravo as well, with this being fibreglass possibly.

If it were me unless you really want the "bang", id go for a smaller caliber. Reloading for Lapua you're looking at $2.50-$5.00 a shot depending on components. vs $1-$2 a shot for something smaller

What exactly do you want to do with the rifle? Do you have any other precision rifles, or is this your first one?

.338LM is a lot of cartridge. A lot of people think they want one, but between the cost to shoot, limited range distance, and heavy recoil leads the novelty to wear off quickly, and the rifle being sold.

Don't believe us? look in the EE, there is a lot of 338 Lapuas for sale

I have a .308 5r here that I have been enjoying. 20211115_110901.jpg

But having been a lond time admirer of the .338 lapua its hard not wanting something that can go out to 2000 meters. I originally was eyeing up the barret MRAD when they were 6500 bucks and every gun store had 1. But those days are gone. I have seen a few nice HS precision .338's floating around but they have the same accuracy of 1moa and those are used for around 3000. So I came across the Nesika and wondered if anyone here had one.

Do you have a place that you can shoot 2000 m? if so you close to Edmonton? lol

Having had a Barrett myself, you're not missing much. 338 Lapua is really fun for the first 40 rnds until you realize you have to feed the beast.

IMO the best course of action is a 6mm or 6.5 cartridge, or if you want a little more distance why not a 300 win mag or 300 PRC?

I have both a 6.5 and 6mm and I can honestly say, compared to 308 they are much more fun to shoot. I took my 6.5 CM out for the first time on Saturday in 20 mph winds and hit my target exactly where I wanted to at 460m. 308 that would have been a bit more tricky

What exactly do you suppose they are going to say, 1/2 MOA with unknown ammo, why would they make a claim they know basically can't be made? All that says to me is they are confidant they assembled a good Rifle.

Maybe the KRG Bravo looks eerily similar to this,https://store.prophetriver.com/bell-and-carlson-remington-700-bdl-varmint-tactical-style-fully-adjustable-sa-black-with-black-web/, which probably looks eerily similar to some custom job from 30-40 years ago.

338 Lapua is a pretty cool cartridge, I'd love to own one, just can't justify tying up the cash into something I couldn't shoot more than a few times a year...maybe one day. That's one nice Rifle, if you want a 338, now would be a good time, never know what the future may bring.

Second post and you are trying to derail it?

I have 338LM built by Alberta Tactical. It has 32" barrel with muzzle break. The action is like a glass, pleasure to shoot.
The recoil is mild but the rifle is 22 lb.
You will never go wrong with Nesika.
For the ammo? Reload, reload, reload.

I’m a fan of the .338 Lapua….it’s a fun caliber to shoot if you have some distance and other rifles.
It is expensive at first, but once you’re in the game with some components it’s not so bad….twice the powder drop of a .308 family case, but you won’t put the same volume of rounds through it either.
The rifle does make a big difference to the fun factor though…heavy with a good brake can be a pleasure (15 lbs. plus with optic) but much lighter with a less effective brake can bite back.
Most manufactures with an accuracy guarantee on the big magnums often bump it up to 1 MOA even though it’s probably more capable.
Looking at that rifle though, I’m not sure it would be my first choice…B&C stock, barrel profile looks a bit light, and that brake needs to be upgraded. That being said, anything custom will be double that price.

Yeah thanks for the advise, been interested in .338 lapua for years and baught dies awhile ago. I was thinking about a used hs precision for around 3000. Seeing them rated for moa makes me unsure. Still not set on anything yet
