Are any of you Holosun 510C owners using a protective cover for this sight, when it is in place on a firearm and stored?

Are there any decent retail options available, or is this a DYI project?

Look into 'Dream Plastics" in the USA. They make specific rubber covers for all of the Holosun sights. They work very well and are worth the modest investment. I have them for all of my RDSs. Here's the 510C: https://dreamplastics.com/product/holosun-510c-scope-cover/

I've ordered twice from these guys for my Trijicon sites. They have expanded their selection and include one for what you're looking for as well now. They do a great job!

I ordered one from Amazon.com and received it very quickly with no import issues. Personally I think that it is not too much to ask for a $400-500 Red dot to come with a protective cover included.

I've been using a kid's sock but the custom covers are probably a better option.
