I've never shot provincials before, is the match at Barrie going to be outdoor/indoor or both? Is it worth going if I haven't shot anything higher than level I match??

It's a 2-day match so I guess they try to shoot as many stages as they can on the first day and wrap up the next day? Do they shoot til the sun goes down?

What will I need to bring other than gun & ammo?

It's outdoors.. and you should be able to shoot all the stages in one day (a LONG day)..

If you want to have fun, and get a chance to see some interesting courses (seeing as they spend a lot of time, effort and $$ on setting them up). then you should get out. The level 2-3's are way better.

BRING BUG SPRAY!!! and a Hat for the Sun. maybe a umbrella if they are calling for rain.

If you are BB qualified, then there isn't a match in the world you are not ready to tackle.

You will be assigned a squad, and follow them through the stages. Be prepared to work, patching targets and resetting steel for your squad. Other than when you are on deck, or have just finished shooting, you should be on your feet helping your squad.

The club will most likely have food and drink available, but be sure to bring some bottled water, and light snacks. Bring sun screen and bug spray. Have a rain poncho available, just in case. A folding chair is always a good idea, as is good quality footwear that can handle desert to marsh conditions.

It isn't a bad idea to have a spare set of cloths in the trunk for after the match, if you or the course designer like rolling in the dirt.

Be sure to bring your crying towel, and a list of excuses.

mebi...it's a one day shoot...and yes it's a long day...

There are still slots available for Thurs or Sunday

If you are thinking of coming to the Provincials, send your registration form as soon as possible. There are still lots of spots, but we are receiving many registrations everyday.

It will be a great match to shoot no matter how much experience you have.
