provisional single stack division for canada

as a matter of testing grounds, what about opening the 1911 Single Stack Division for the national in 2008 as a provisional division just as a test
i know that the Czech Regional directorJosef HOREJSI gonna approve this division as a test here's the proof

simply we take the same set of rules as the USPSA for a while unitl the aproval after the GA .....at least it follow all legality restriction that we have in Canada for pistol shooting

in the worst case it will bring old members, that has been tired of those Buck Rodgers Star Wars type gun, and come back to shoot at least a price friendly pistol
and a bunch of New shooter who don't like production style pistol

i'm sure there's gonna more people interested to shoot single stack than revolver or even Modified... : ) (at least i've tried to bring modified to life but #### happens)perhaps Open too

We in Alberta will be having our 'Second Annual - Single Stack Classic' (with USPSA Single Stack rules) on August 18th in Brooks, AB.....

Your "proof" is completely out of context and misleading to the readership here.

The letter from Czechoslovakia was written from before last year's General Assembly, where Mr. Horejsi made a motion to get SS division in.

The proposal for Single Stack division was voted down in a landslide vote of the regions that make up IPSC at the general assembly in 2006. It didn't even get to a discussion phase. It was considered against the constitution to attempt to bring a new division online when not at a World Shoot.

I have little doubt it will be a topic of discussion in 2008 at the general assembly, but Mr. Horejsi had better have more than 3 people shooting Single Stack division (CZ nats - 2006 - 3 people in SS) at his nationals before that to be able to sell it.
