Long Distance Competition
The « Ligue de Tir Longue Distance Québec » invites you to a friendly long distance match (PRS style) taking place on April 8th 2017 on the « Trois-Rivieres range » at the Valcartier military base. It will be a one (1) day match.
Match requirement is around 80 rounds.
The majority of the targets will be between 300 and 900 meters and one will be at 1,200 meters.
Registration : Maximum 30 shooters.
2 categories : TACTICAL (308 / 223) and OPEN.
Open: maximum 3,200 fps and .30 caliber
Tactical: .308 maximum 2800 fps and 178 gr
.223 maximum 3000 fps and 77 gr
Metallic Targets Only.
Cost : $60 with Lunch included, payable the day of the match ( please bring exact amount).
Registration is the latest on April 1st 2017 on tdlvalcartier@outlook.com.
Please state your category at the time of registration, i.e. Tactical – Open.
This competition is sanctioned by the SFC.
There will be no availability to Zero your firearm before beginning the match, please see to this beforehand.
All fireams must be transported in accordance with Canadian Regulations.
There is room for only 30 shooters. Please be ready to help the organizers during and after the match.
The competition is composed of 9 timed stages, and includes some difficult positions and some rapid movements from one position to another.
A detailed description of each stage will be emailed to you 48 hours before the competition.
Those who cannot participate but who wish to help out are very welcome and can contact me at tldvalcartier@outlook.com.
Program of the day
08:00 : arrival at range Trois-Rivieres.
08:15 : briefing, explanations of each stage, formation of groupes (3).
08:45 : Beginning, stages 1,2,3,4,9.
11;30 : lunch.
12;00 : Beginning of stages 5,6,7,8,9,
15;00 : End of the competition
15;35 : compilation of results.
16;00 : presentation of the winners, drawings for attendance prizes.
16;30 : takedown of range setup.
*All times are tentative and may be subject to change.
Participants may bring their own rangefinders, spotting scopes etc,and bipods, however these accessories will be available for those who don’t possess them.
******Since this is a military range, this event is subject to cancellation at any time.******
The Match will take place regardless of weather conditions, you may bring chairs and shelter or other that may be needed
