My PS90 arrived last week courtesy of Questar. I think she's gorgeous, and I've named her Persephone

It's a 16 inch barrel, but I can't remember if it's restricted due to the action design or the barrel length. Someone clear that up for me if you know. Ammo is a pain to get. It's impossible to get in Kitchener anyway, but one of the local gun store owners has connections with an FN Dealer. So provided he can get me non-armour piercing rounds, I'll be able to get some.

IIRC, I've seen some threads where the owners had them re-barreled to 18.5in, and they became non-restricted.

Just to clarify, it is restricted due to barrel length only. Put on a longer barrel and you are non-restricted.

So you need to decide it you want it restricted or not. Then you either put on the proper short barrel or put on a longer barrel. Keeping the 16" barrel is not an option.

Congratulations on the new gun. I quite like the one I purchased from Questar. It's heading off to the gunsmith this week to get the new barrel installed. 18.5 and NR here we come.

I was also impressed with the accuracy. SS197SR was the most accurate I've tested so far.

Cheers

Is it bad that the reason I want a P90 is because of Stargate?

having a 5/50 mag would just piss me right off though. Especially for the price. Would be a fun gun to pop gophers. How much are they with the 18.5" barrel?
I thought it was OAL that made guns restricted or not though, not the barrel length?

On a semi-auto, it's both. It has to have an OAL of at least 26 inches, and on top of that, the barrel length must be at least 18.5 inches, or else it's restricted.

this is all Fcked up , wut happens if i do go shoot in the bush with my ar and get caught people are gonna put me in jail over 2.5 inches !!? lol i am curious if someone can do a thread on expected fines and jail time maybe so everyone knows .

They will put you in jail because your AR is restricted by name, doesnt matter whether the barrel is 11 inches or 24 inches, even those fudded up remington ones with the mossy ok and the 20 inch barrel are restricted!

They'd probably use the short barrel law against you as well (if it applies), just to trump up more charges and make your life a living hell.
