PSA 7.62 x 39 ammo

I know this has been mentioned before, but thought I would just add to the confirmation for anyone looking to buy the 7.62 x 39 Chinese ammo from Lever Arms that is "non-corrosive".

The ammo is in fact corrosive. I shot about 200-300 rounds on a spotless gun; went to clean it the next day and rust everywhere. If you do need to buy it, just be sure to clean as soon as you are done shooting.

I even confronted them about this when I was buying the ammo, just to give them a chance. They blamed the people claiming it as corrosive as being "idiots and not cleaning their guns".

Other than that, ammo shoots just fine, it's just too bad they refuse to label it as what it is.
 
Lever is taking quite a beating on this issue.
For the small amount they will on this, (maybe $100 per case more than if it was correctly labeled Corrosive), their reputation is getting as tarnished as your gun is!
 
Could we please sticky this in the General Discussion forum with the thread title "Lever Arms 7.62x39 surplus ammo WARNING"?

I do not see them as a site sponsor and resentment and anger (as well as the number of damaged guns!) is growing. Were they a board member I would think the administration would've taken them to task over this egregiously dishonest practice and banned them from the member backlash. We need to stand united on this issue and tell bad retailers we will NOT take their crap sitting down. We take enough abuse and disrespect from antis, we don't need retailers giving us the shaft as well!

It doesn't have to be inflammatory or libelous but it should be very clear that they have been informed of the facts and choose to ignore them.

It pretty much means that I find it amazing that anyone would want such a lot of whiny crybabies as customers in the first place.

If we ganged up on, and boycotted every store that ever had a gun counter flunkie feed a customer a line of poo, we'd all be running around trying to find bat crap to make gunpowder with, because the stores would all be gone.

Who needs anti's, when the gun folks are as willing to throw their own under the train.

Nobody bought a 7.62x 39 because of the match quality, high grade ammo that it's so well known for, did they?

I honestly don't understand your attitude towards this. They are knowingly selling a mis-represented product, also known as scamming.
Now how the customers go from being scammed to "whiny crybabies" beats me.

Its more like Lever is trying to throw us gun owners under the train.

I guess you'd be fine paying 375$ from lever when you could get the same quality stuff at $260 (or less) elsewhere. Very Logical.

Trev, you have completely missed the point completely. It is not that the ammo is cheap and you get what you pay for. It is the fact it is advertised as NON-CORROSIVE and all the staff deny wholeheartedly that it is in anyway corrosive.
