Has anyone been looking into the PSA/Battlefield (HMG?) STG-44s?

Comes in 8mm Kurtz, 5.56/.223, .300 Blackout, and 7.62x39mm and the caliber can be interchanged by a barrel, bolt, and mag swap. Barrel is held on by a barrel nut and the mags are STANAG pattern. Their STG44 style STANAG mags are single stack, 28 round capacity.

They look real cool, would be nice if they made it up here. Maybe PSA will make some 18.5" barrels. Price is just north of $2000usd

With no law changes there is no law or regulation banning it.

The name is meaningless lol. It is legal in 22lr so why not a full bore?

I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for the firearms lab to classify ANYTHING semi-auto pending the outcome of C-21, the lab monkeys and bureaucrats aren't going to be taking any chances. They'll just sit on it.

If C-21 passes, this gun is done, as it is capable of accepting magazines with a capacity larger than 5 rounds. If C-21 dies on the order table, then it might stand a chance, if a Conservative government comes into power. If the Liberals maintain power, they'll kill it by legislation, or by fiat in an OIC.

I used to own both of these---one dewat---the other CA 12.3.
I am glad that I sold them when I did.

They each sold for $4,000.

I shall believe it when I see it on the market. Lots of issues with those ending up for sale, hopefully they actually come through. Unfortunately this country doesn't seem likely to be a destination for these rifles in the current political climate.

These are all restricted by bbl length and there's no grandfathering in c-21.

No importer is going to chance bringing them in with c-21 pending.

Vote conservative and maybe you will be able to buy it some day.

Yes they are all restricted, but the point I was making to the other fella was that they are models already in the country that aren't prohib. I am also not caring about C-21 until it is 100% implemented, even then I doubt most will care about it

To be fair, discounting the 'more of a look-alike than a replica' 22 there aren't very many of these here at all, I'd probably - in fact I know - I would have an easier time finding a real one than a repro in 8mm Kurz.

The whole pile of #### legislation that brought 12.x stupidity needs to be repealed. It didn't save one life and basically ruined the country for collecting historically significant firearms.
I want an StG 44, not some US-made abortion.

Hopefully we get a chance to get these in I’d love one in 8mm Kurtz
The 22 version is cool but lacks the boom factor

The 22 versions of historical firearms don't do anything for me.

I had wanted an MP40 for decades and the 22 rimfire ones just weren't my thing. Then I discovered they also made a copy in 9mm .... which I now own. :)
