PSA: Canpar no longer accepts Firearms, Ammo, or even Gun Parts!

Today we received notice from Canpar that they are no longer shipping any ammo, firearms, or gun parts. We will be using Canada Post moving forward for all non-ammo shipments. We are working on a solution for shipping ammo and should have something in the coming day or two.

We are not sure why Canpar has dropped support since most firearms businesses use them in Canada and it is a significant business.

Their list of prohibited items are fairly long so it shouldn't come as a shock they want to add this and probably others to it. In the end they don't know the contents of what's in the box so it's gotta be an insurance thing for claims.

As long as there's no confidentiality clause we will post the letter.

Given the timing and lack of warning I am assuming something beyond their control. Still not ruling out anti-gun virtue signaling.
