You should make clear that JJE Capital is the parent company that also holds Palmetto State Armory.

PSA buying an asset isn't the same as the umbrella corporation that owns PSA buying an asset.

Ruger buying Marlin might be good if the QA standard is raised enough to warrant the banishment of the "Remlin" nickname.
Federal Ammo just eliminated a significant part of their competition as did Sierra.

On another gun site someone said why H & R. Another post mentioned H & R made Garands at one time. Official PSA account said we have a winner. Yes I would buy a PSA Garand.

Didn't Remington largely get that sorted out? I know they were bad when Remington first took over, but my understanding was they had largely worked out the issues in the past few years - you certainly don't see the number of threads about it that you used to?

I have seen fairly recent (last 6 months) YouTube videos on Marlin lever actions rifles still not functioning consistently/properly, during my research on .44 Mag lever action rifles before I bought one. I was leaning towards a Marlin lever action as a .17HMR bolt action Marlin I had many years ago was a fantastic rifle, but the unfavorable reviews dissuaded me. Perhaps, like you mentioned, they have sorted it out with recent production lots.

I'm not sure what exactly PSA got. I see the silencers, and the barrel company, and they seem a good fit. The rest seem to just be brand names with no assets.

Ruger with Marlin may be a good thing.
