PSA: Knockoff Ruger 10/22 Magazine Adapters

It has been brought to our attention that another company has started manufacturing a Ruger 10/22 magazine adapter.

We would like to take this opportunity to warn our customers that this counterfeit adapter is not approved by the RCMP and is an illegal modification. This adapter is also infringing upon our pending patent that covers using Remington 597 and other magazines with an adapter in the Ruger 10/22 type of firearm.

The adapter in question is made by Addley Precision. We urge our customers not to buy or use these adapters. Unlike the Spectre Ballistics International adapter the Addley Precision adapter permanently affixes to the Remington 597 magazine with screws thus converting it into a PROHIBITED Ruger 10/22 magazine. Our adapter, which was specifically approved by the RCMP, fits in the rifle and allows the rifle to accept Remington 597 magazines.

We will continue to update this page if other companies infringe upon our intellectual property and sell dangerous knockoff products.

Only the genuine Spectre Ballistics International Ruger 10/22 Magazine Adapter was approved by the RCMP.

For those customers who want an aluminium adapter, they being manufactured right now are coming in the next few weeks.

Please do not post links to the knockoff adapter. Links will be removed.
 
Well I was about to comment on the aluminum one but that answers it to the end there any chance you guys working on an adapter that will work with the sr22 rifles because of the shell that’s on the 10/22?

From my understanding it makes the magazine a prohibited item, not the rifle.

The gsg mp5 clone doesn't have a pistol version thus it doesn't require 10round max capacity magazines.

The adapter has no impact on the rifle classification. Since it's a permanent mod to the 597 magazine it makes the magazine prohibited if it's more than 10 rounds.

You are adding something to the individual magazine (permanent or temporary) that modifies it so it can fit the 10/22 receiver. Sounds like you are just turning another magazine into a 10/22 compatible magazine which MAY be considered a prohibited device over 10 rounds.

Not necessarily backlash against SB. Just fed up with bureaucrats making up arbitrary "laws" and the sheeple who accept said arbitrary "laws" as law.

We noticed that these are back on the market. Do not buy them. It converts your 597 magazine into a prohibited 10/22 magazine. Also violates our patent application, but we're more concerned about people getting into trouble with the law.
