PSOC Precision Rifle Practice at Meaford Nov. 5

What additional stuff is needed? The bipod simply switched places on the rifle. Only addition for that is a couple small rail lengths. The flat side of one of the wedge-lock blocks will work as a standard barricade block. So, what is left to carry around? A second 2 oz wedge block that fits in your pocket.

Also, most of the tricks with bags that were demonstrated were only using a single cylindrical soup can sized rear bag (Coretac mini Corebean) that most would already be carrying as a rear bag.

I have seen shooters carry:

tripods and the various saddles and tops

Bags and bags and more bags of all shapes, sizes and volumes - for the gun, for the person.

Binos, spotting scopes, rangefinders, Kestrels, smartphones.

Slings, belts, pouches, ropes, carabiners, backpacks (good thing to carry all the stuff)

Whatever personal kit to keep comfy and unbruised. Things to record on.. things that help you remember what you recorded.

Tools and whatever support stuff to keep the rifle alive. Ammo and mags

And I am sure there are other things that "might help"...

In FTR, we only need a bipod, a rear bag and a mat to lie on.... yeah right... I don't pack light.... :)

Go to an actual match instead of basing things off what the odd newb in a video is running. This notion that people who have never been to a match have that everyone is humping around a massive amount of stuff is humorous but inaccurate.

This is the norm pack size carry. Add a pump pillow and a belt for mag pouches if you want to run that. Unless it's a field match, few will have a tripod.

Just curious if you used your Ultimatum rifle for this one?,, if so, what were you impressions on this new action?
Thanks,
Dave

Well guys we could have not asked for a nicer day in November to have a Practise. We had a total of 20 shooters out for the day. Kris did a great mini clinic on stage prep, position, tips and tricks then we shot the rest of the day on 5 different barricades at 15+ targets out to 760 yards.

This was our first time using the Urban assault range and it is awesome. I don't have many pictures that turned out but I know there will be some posted up.

I just want to say thank you again guys for helping with set up and take down it saved us hours of work again. It is great to have an amazing group of shooters to work with, it make it a true pleasure to put these events on.

Just want to send out a special thank you to Dan for bringing his trailer again and Ben for allowing us to store our equipment at his property. As well as setting up the 1080 yard target to allow dan to shoot his 300 win mag.

Just looking at the odd ball distances. Are they a result of shooting up or down hill to some extent? The range tempered with the angle of the shot causes the "distance to target" to round off somewhat? Or is that not a factor at all?

Hey guys, just posting and participating. I was range staff at the 2016 contest, I was the loud "watch and shoot" ####### that was given the desert tech by Matthew Brousseou. I'm looking forward to being on the other side of the clipboard this year, and definitely interested in some practice as the weather warms up. It's awesome Meaford has opened it's doors to PRS.
