For you guys that have or had PT&G bottom metal, what is the fit/finish like? I read mixed reviews from excellent to as bad as the factory pot-metal on the new M700's. I am looking specifically at the aluminum M700 S/A Oberndorf Bottom Metal.
 
I've had three and currently have two of the SA 700 Oberndorf bottom metal. They are improving it IMO. The original one (on the bottom) has weird lines on the bow and you can see that the new one (top) looks better. I'm still not sure why the wider portion at the front of the bow does not sit flush with the top of the straddle.

I have the M700 Aluminum LA Oberndorf bottom metal. I like it but the finished look leaves a bit to be desired. Mine is new(er) and looks like the one in Chucks bottom pic.
 
By the looks and sounds of things (thanks Chuck & Big Jon) no inletting is required for the M700 PT&G Oberndorf b/m as the floor plate is below the stock line (even though the floor plate is longer then the original)???
