Is there a distributor for ptg in Canada? I'm looking for a savage bolt head.

Saw one on EE a few weeks ago, but I remember Mystic Precision used to bring some in.

Looked for the same a year ago. No joy. Ordered directly from PTG which takes a loooong time to manufacture and ship.

Grech Outdoors is the Savage Warranty Centre and will replace Savage bolt heads but will require that you ship the rifle.

Does ptg ship without permits?
I talked to Grech and same thing. By the time it's shipped both ways, gunsmithing fee to change barrel and bolt head, canadian markup on bolt head etc. I figure it might be close to $150-200 for a $26.00 part. Lol.

Call them and ask. I've spoken to them before, and they've been extremely helpful.

Does ptg ship without permits?

No permits needed for shipping of things like bolt heads although I'm always surprised at how broadly ITAR restricts exports.

Always thought there was. Just ordered one from brownells today. It was a savage one. Already shipped.
