Public land to train my pup

Hello all,
I’m from AB but currently in Ontario probably until the end of summer. I have a new hunting pup (still 10 weeks old) and was looking for some guidance where to take her where there are birds to help her develop her senses. I’m not a resident of ON so I’m not looking for hunting spots.
If anyone can guide me to any public land where I can take my pup to smell, hear and see birds I’d really appreciate it. Even places that carry game birds but no hunting allowed would be good for my purpose.
I’m staying in Oakville but can drive around (hopefully not too far in this gigantic province).

In Ontario you'll need from the MNRF a licence to release wild game and a licence to conduct field trials and train dogs. Both are free from the MNRF but are only valid on a plot of private land and the land has to be over 40 hectares (100 acres). You can't get one for public land. I have both licences and have permission to release chukar, pigeon, quail, and pheasant. The only bird you can't apply to release (without another licence) is the northern bobwhite quail (indigenous to Ontario).

Unfortunately my place is a four hour drive from Oakville. My solution for you is: Find a farmer, help with the hay, get permission to train on his land or join the local NAVHDA chapter (provided your dog is on the list). Your local club likely has licences and land signed up.

Be sure to check your dog for ticks constantly.My neighbour's springer had 2 last year and 1 so far this year,and we live in a subdivision in eastern Ontario.Two dogs that I used to walk my golden with developed Lyme,and though they survived,they became very old dogs at a very young age.

Thanks for your responses. I think my message might’ve been misinterpreted.
I’m not looking for game farms to release birds. I was just asking about public areas where she can smell whatever nature has to offer to develop her senses. Squirrels, rabbits, grouse, robins, partridges, pigeons, deer...
just like you’d do with any dog but more intense given the fact that this is a hunting pup.
She’s still 10 weeks old so I’m not keen on getting her to point yet. Just to sniff around and familiarize her senses with the outdoors. Does that require a special license here in ON? Excuse my ignorance of the Regs here and please let me know.

In AB I can just take her anywhere in the woods as long as I’m not carrying a gun or any means to hunt. Just like going on a hike with your pup.

Try regional forests and conservation authority lands. There are a few crown parcels further west, south of Guelph. Niagara escarpment trail may also be what you are looking for.

Do you know what's stupider than intentionally breaking fish and game regulations? Openly admitting online that you break said regulations.

Most hunters have very little respect for fools who pick and choose which regulations they think they should follow....
