Public Ranges near Salmon Arm/ Shuswap Lake

Hey guys,

I have exhausted google searches trying to find an area where I would be able to shoot a .22 near Shuswap Lake or Salmon Arm in BC. Looking for a nice, safe (no guys with a rifle in one hand and a beer in the other), quiet place that I could shoot, leaving it clean (picking up brass and targets once done). Not sure if there are any good areas or any crown land around. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hey... lots of logging roads and crown land around there... where are you looking specifically?

I'm over in Sunnybrae (north shore - across the bay from Salmon Arm) for most of the summer and there are pleeeenty of places to shoot here. Just head up a logging road, find a safe place, and blast away!

Salmon Arm also has a very nice range on the east side of town (essentially South Canoe)... not public, but shouldn't be an issue getting access as a guest.
