Public zone south of Montreal

Hi guys,

Got unlicky twice already (second time with snow up to my knees for 9 hours) and for my 2018 "Hail Marie" looking at maps there is a bunch of farmland with some forested areas here and there south of montreal (Saint Urbain Premier, Tres Saint Sacrement area).

I can clearly see farmland but infolot is showing the area as public, that confuses the hell out of me.
Obviously farmland is not but are the forests considered to be public ?
Did I do my due diligence ?

Not much public land in that area to my knowledge. My cousin owns and leases land through that area and the bush is usually attached to a field in production. Definitely worth a further look.
