I read with interest a previous thread about this. So...I tried pulling some Romanian and some Czech(?) with an RCBS collet puller. No go. I even bumped the bullet down a bit to break the seal. No way could I get that collet to grab tight enough.
Tried some copper washed surplus, origin ??. Popped out, no problem. Averaged out the powder from 5 rounds, dumped it into 5 sized, never fired .303 brass, seated the bullets.
Took my old quasi-sniper POF out to my buddy's range, fired them off. Didn't spend any time or effort to "sight it in", just wanted to check recoil, etc. Worked really nice.
I also dumped 5 gr. Unique in the primed 7.62 brass and seated a 93 gr. WW Lee bullet. Fired them off in my Baikal single shot rifle. They made a pretty good crack, and dirtied up the outside of the case, and of course, the chamber. Not enough pressure to expand the steel case, I presume.
I will do a few more and spend some effort trying to get the POF to shoot to point of aim. Will report back.
