pulling shotgun slugs

has anyone ever pulled slugs out of factory loaded shot gun shells i trimmed the crimp out of a couple but i would like to save the crimp if possible .I checked all the usual places like utube and google couldn't find anything. and for all the people that have to ask why because i want to

Yup, they usually come out a little too fast to be usable afterwards though

Shoot straight into the air while standing in a backyard pool. Use snorkel to recover slug from bottom of pool.

Maybe you could rig up a impact- Inertia type puller - hammer . You would could warm up the plastic hull roll crimp by holding it in boiling water( just the roll crimp part .) To soften it so it will unroll when you wack it to dislodge the slug .
