Happy Thanksgiving!

I made it out this morning to check out some fields near me and brought my Thermal Scope. It was an awesome experience - to see what the deer are doing, where they're going; what time...awesome. Prior to using thermal; I would have walked too far and spooked anything away.

It's my first video, so I apologize for the lack of editing. Deer was approx 200 yards away.

This coming Friday Ill put it to work for the Moose hunt. Cant wait.

Cheers and hope you had a good day.

Thanks for the video! I've often wondered about using a thermal during legal hunting hours of course, to scan hillsides for bedded animals. A white spot and out comes the spotting scope to pinpoint and identify the "heat source". Even spotting coyotes and foxes in the brush would be fun.

Not to mention observing poachers on private land and guiding authorities to help deal with those criminals.

Perhaps Turillo can show us how his scope handles these situations. I found that the Leupold LTO did not fare too well with animals behind bushes or lying down (it did great for animals in the open similar to what's shown in this video), perhaps this model works better, but I'd want to see it before putting money down.

The XP series is the same. Trail means it is mountable to a firearm. I cant say enough good things about these units. Pulsar is an amazing product that can easily compete with the top thermal brands. Also, the feature set is amazing. I can mount this thing to a tripod and wirelessly transmit the output to my smart phone screen, or tablet.

If theres a heat signature- this scope will find it. Hot white and Hot black are super clean and crisp. The video I posted doesn't do the quality justice.

I'm happy to let anyone close to me check it out first hand. It's like a drug...a whole new world.

Thanks guys

In all fairness there's no comparison between this and the Leopold unit. Pulsar is far more advanced image sensors and refresh rates.

It absolutely works for that purpose and will very much increase your chances of success.

If you ever have a chance to record a video of animals bedding down and/or behind bushes it would be very much appreciated :) Perhaps this is the scope I'm looking for :)

Will do - I plan to use it often over the next few months for scouting and early morning watching, so Ill be sure to hit record.

A year later, did you encounter any problem Torillo?

Freezer is empty. One of the moose opportunities I missed was in the clouds, 50 feet visibility. So my interest in thermal just went up.

Can you use it for navigation? (Walking in the dark) I guess not considering the magnification.

But then the detection range must be greater tham the 1x Flir PTQ136 or OTM266. Pulsar battery system seems better. Anyone did a live comparison of those?
