Point of interest. I visited the Legacy International site looking to see the new Pumas. Boy was I surprised. The 2009 version of the Puma M92 isn't made by Rossi in Brazil anymore it is manufactured in Italy by Chiappa and be prepared for a serious jump in price the new Pums .357 Mag will now have a MSRP in the $850 range a major jump from approx $600.
I guess if your thinking of getting one you might want to get moving once the old inventory is gone the price will be jumping up.

Rossi is still making them in Brasil, and even has new models listed for this year.
Someone just needs to start importing them.

The Rossi's are pretty well made guns for the money. I was quit impressed with the fit & finish of mine. The only upgrade I might make to mine someday is a Walnut stock, but that really wouldn't change it's value. That's probably the only upgrade Chiappa could do to justify a big hike in price imo.

i enjoyed my rossi alot, however it was a kind of come and go gun.

I enjoyed hip lever cycling/shooting in the first months, then it got old.
For the price one can have quite a gun compared to the marlin which will run ya more than 1200$ IIRC

In the last couple of weeks I have bought a Rossi puma in .38/.357. Today I put about 150 rds down range through it and it ate everything it was fed in both .38 special and .357 magnum. I like it and I've been using a Marlin M1894S in .44 mag for the last 13 years shooting Cowboy Action.

Try Frontier but they may be sold out...Also Freedom ventures is going to be bringing in some Taurus/Rossi products so I'd give them a call and ask them if they plan on ordering in some of the M92's.

My .357mag Puma by Rossi is in. Fit and finish is simple but nice, really does looks like a 1892 Winchester. Action is really very smooth right out of the box. I'm going to the range on Saturday to try it out. I'll let you know how that goes.

How much did you pay? I really want the stainless version. Being from the 'wet coast' I think it would be better.

Stainless would be better if this would be a hunting rifle. But for Cowboy Action shooting I'd think it would stand out as a pretty harsh anacronism..... :D
