Product Code:
REM264880
Remington 7615 Police.223 Rem 16.5" Barrel, Wilson Combat Ghost Rings

I've been looking at getting one of these for several years now. It's gone up in price(like just about everything else) but if it goes on sale….
Now that my indoor range allows .223 my AR gets lots of action however, having a non-restricted (right?) that could use my AR mags would be a bonus!

Not in .223,but I've owned two 7600s in 30-06 almost constantly for past 29 years as my go to deer/moose/elk rifle(my first one was stolen after 20+ years and a killed a reefer van full of game)
They're well known for accuracy and reliability, solid locking rotary lug bolt, for all intents and purposes a free floated barrel.
Both of mine have shot<MOA with various factory loads.
If you haven't figured it out by now,I may be be a bit biased to the ol' meatslayer, but I'd buy a 7615 in a heartbeat if could justify owning yet another varmint caliber rifle...I might just buy one yet for the familiarity factor?

Will a 243 or 6 mm barrel fit on this action .I really like the idea behind this gun but would like to have a little more bullet with our going 30 cal. Because of hunting cal restrictions in are area ..Dutch

Remington produced 7600s in both .243 and 6mmRem in the past. Not sure exactly what chamberings are currently offered for a new one,but you could keep an eye on the used market/EE if that's what you want.

Given that this is in the Black and Green Rifles forum, I suspect that what the OP is after is the fact that the .223 7600 Police takes AR mags... And has the advantage of not being a Mossberg.

Had one, nice little rifle, not very impressed with its accuracy though. I'd get a Mini 14 over a 7615P, I could be wrong but I doubt it would group any worse. LAR-15 mags are nice but not nice enough that I'd get another Remington...although I'd consider a 7600P in .308.

My experience is similar, but I didn't do much ammo testing, I remember being unimpressed with accuracy. So maybe, reloads or more testing would of produced more memorable results.
I have a mini14 now, do I want a 7615p again? Yes, I do. Would I trade my mini14 for one? No.

300blackout would be a better choice, you'd have to change the bolt & the barrel at least, and afaik you can't change the bolt in them.
Dlask said barrel swaps are doable, so going to 300blackout should be simple.

Calgary shooting centr has a police
They "had" one on the pre-owned rack a few weeks ago as I recall, but it was not there yesterday?

That's odd re:accuracy, given my own experience with Rem pumps along with countless other reviews tout them as tight shooters/bolt action-like accuracy?
Both of my 7600/760s in 30-06 would shoot 3 shot <MOA groups.
