Looking for a pump action 22 for plinking fun. Doesnt appear to be a very popular setup from what i can see.

That is so last year. This year we decided that the 17HMR shot flatter and more accurate than the 22 at the longer ranges. It gets pushed around in the wind a little more at 900 and 1000yds but holds better elevation.

HMII works well out to 600yds....full load HMR for the longs.

What do you figure the best twist rate is for the long heavies like the 22 grain vld?

It's plenty fun for plinking. Try the supporting dealers like Frontier Firearms above in the banner.

And, as mentioned, you will have better luck asking this question in the rimfire section.
