I haven't spent any time at all in the rimfire section so I am kind of a noob on the topic.

I have a spot on a lake, that I go to whenever I can.

Right now I have a bolt action rifle in 44 mag for any longer walks in the woods. (bear and cougar country.) I also have a .22LR single shot bolt action for fun.

I leave the rifles in the cabin from spring till fall (open-up to shut-down) and carry the bolts with me when I come and go, so the rifles are useless to anyone who might break in. I want to replace the SS with a repeater of some sort.

I have a 10/22 that I bought used 52 years ago and is still working fine, but pulling the bolt every time is a deal breaker.

I wouldn't mind a pump, or a lever, but I do want to keep the quick & easy bolt removal. Anyone have any suggestions?

I think a bolt action repeater would be the easiest to drop the bolt out of. I've only owned 1 lever (Winchester 9422) and a couple of pumps. All gone now. None of them would have been a quick to pull the bolt from. At least, not quick compared to a bolt action. (which should be under 5 seconds) I know very little about them, and have never even held one, but that relatively new Winchester Wildcat semi might be worth looking at if you're not into bolt guns. Can't comment on the quality of them.

Best bolt gun? Everyone has an opinion, I find myself reaching for my Tikka T1x most. (20" barrel, 22LR)

Ruger American rimfire bolt, you can use the same mags from your 10/22 and the bolt is easy to remove..... if that's what you want to do instead of transporting back and forth or figuring out how to stash the complete gun securely.

Browning SA 22 or the Norinco clone that sells for about $200 is easy to remove the bolt on, or you could take the entire trigger unit/bolt home.

I would agree I wouldnt leave my guns behind as I would probably lose the bolts like so many people do.
As for me I have A 10/22, Ruger American rimfire and a 39m to me the bolts are a snap to take out and are all of good quality.
The American was the last one I got and for the price I am very happy with it compared to other bolt actions I have had over the years.

Get a Henry lever. Used ones are cheap(to buy) but a ton of fun.
Take the tube mag plunger home when you're done for the season.....

A bolt action repeater fits the bill best... lots to choose from, but a 452 or 77/22 would be excellent.
