pump rifles

hi their ive been looking at pump action rifles and i can only find the remington? what other brands are their? is the remington the best im looking for a realiable hunting rifle thast tough. thanx

There's also the Browning BPR and the Savage 170 but the 170 has some loading issues in most of them and they're hard to find.

If you want new, in a rifle calibre, Remington is the only game in town. Savage, Browning, Colt and Standard all quit making them. I've fired only two of the Remmy's, a .30-06 and a .308, and was quite impressed with how quick and sure they were to operate. As well, they were 'way more than hunting accurate.
If pistol cals are OK, Taurus is making a replica of the Colt Lightning. So is a company caleed American Arms, but theirs will cost thousands of bucks.

My father shoots a remington 7600 in 30-06, very nice gun. This is an older model with all metal trigger guard, I have heard that they have changed over to plastic parts on the rifles as they did with the shotguns. The action has almost the same feel as the remington 870 shotgun and besides some problems that came from manufactures error nothing has gone wrong and this gun has been well hunter over the past 20 years.

My father and I both shoot Rem 760's in .270. Neither have given any problems. He has been shooting his for over 40 years, works some smooth. Regular cleaning is the only thing that has ever been done to either rifle.

thanx for the info i went and looked at a rem 7600 today at epps its a nice gun i think i will purchase one in the future...thast if my pal gets here before the year 2300
