I have an old Winchester 2200 I am reworking into a tactical style for blasting things and dragging through the bush. The original finish was shot with a lot of pitting on the barrel etc so I went ahead and sandblasted everything and coated all the metal parts with bake on engine enamel and it looks decent the problem I have is that the stock set I found for it was an old wood set that I stripped and painted black with roll bar epoxy paint. the checkering is decent but I still find that I don't get a really solid grip on the pump arm and it tends to stick a bit in the full back position. just wondering what others have done to improve pump handle "gription". part of my problem is that the first 2 fingers of my left hand don't grip well due to an old injury making it even harder to run the pump with authority. Here is a picture of what I have so far ... still need a but plate but otherwise pretty much ready to shoot
