pump vs semi auto shotguns whadda ya think?

Cripple Headshot?

Either or, depends on what you are doing.

Some forms of skeet, reliability, mag capacity, cheap: Pump
Hunting, some forms of Skeet, CQB, and heavy door breaching: semi

Don't forget O/U and double barrels. Everything has their place.

hahaha cripple head shot... never thought of that one i would take my 870 for any and all of those applications ive put that gun through hell and it keeps comin back 7 round extended tube is all the 00 buckshot ill ever need coupled with 18 inch and 28 inch barrels i can swap at my leisure plus a plug for hunting all my other guns are just gravy
very diplomatic response by the way

Ya I know it was Corporal. I was just being a smart ass since Corporal is abbreviated Cpl.

You have to be diplomatic on here, the smallest thing can touch a guy off and it gets retarded. People forget manners with the face to face disconnect and anonymity of the internet.

i totally caught that i messed it up shortly after i did it but i dont think i can change it now... damn... thanks for the heads up ill make sure and keep it friendly this is the only forum ive ever used

absolutetly and you are correct i meant a mag plug as i understand it in bc there is a 5 round max mag cap for rifle and shotgun hunting non restricted just means you can shoot outside of a range unlike the restricted which you cant even buy without a range membership plus the storage regulations are a little more lax on non restricted personally i much prefer bush shooting to range shooting

That sums it up nicely, thanks for the info. I've got my eye on an 870 tactical, which I believe has a 7 shot mag, just wanted to make sure I'd be able to either take it hunting as is, or put a plug in it to hunt.

So from reading this thread, it's safe to say the 870 carries your endorsement :)

anything i can shoot for years and drop in the mud repeteadly without serious damage gets my stamp of approval mines a tactical as well the barrels are kinda pricy but its like several guns for the price of one if you get the right accesories

Well if I go with this one, I'll be bugging you for accessory recommendations.

I've also got a bit of a want on for the Truvelo Neostead NS2000, but while it may be ###y as hell, and handy in an SHTF scenario, it's not exactly practical for much (or anything) else, and at $4k, it's pretty low down my shopping list.
