This is a shout out for Higginson Powders. I was looking for a Reloading press to start reloading again after many years. Like most people I did a lot of research on what to buy and searched the internet for the right product at the right price. I placed an order for a Lee Pro 4000 .223 kit along with powder, bullets, lube, check die, case tools etc. Their prices are excellent and the customer service has been phenomenal. I placed the order at around 1:30 Tuesday and had the product at my home in less than 24 hours! Like Arnold said in the movie, "I'll be back!"

higginson the real biggest lee stocking dealer in canada no matter what others bull post...... they have stock or no one does just great all round folks

I believe it, a few months back I was looking for the larger Lee 120v lead melting pot, the bottom pour version. Nobody had it in stock but Higginson’s as well as a couple bullet molds, quick order processing and shipping as well.

The best part of Higginson Powder is the current owner is the third or forth generation in the explosives business.
The first Higginson built a tall tower which remains as a visitor's attraction ( https://vankleekhill.ca/blog/higginson-tower/ ). The previous operator Tom, was well connected and bought and sold powder from everywhere he would find in and make a buck. The current operator is another entrepreneur who has a second business selling farm machinery from UK.

Was looking for a buckshot mold not too long ago and they were the only one who had them in stock.
Price was right and shipping reasonable.

Can someone explain to me why I would pay EMT, with the 0% kickback and 0 buyer's protection; when I could instead pay CC with roughly 1% kickback and 100% buyer's protection? Or better yet, explain this to the vendors so that they incentivize EMT and save me some money.
Some vendors like Budget do incentivize EMT payment by adding the cc 3-4% processing fees for cc purchases.

You certainly identified the biggest con in EMT, being the lack of protection. That it doesn't offer you rewards isn't a negative so much as using the option with rewards adds that as a positive. Why would you use EMT instead? Once you've got trust in place (and obviously there are no trust issues with the dealer in question) it is just as fast and reliable, it doesn't cost higginson an approximate 3% haircut. As noted above retailers can play with that cost in their prices but it's actually a violation to do it in the method that was described, they cannot add fees because somebody chooses to pay with credit, they can really only discount an item for a different payment method. In order to effectively do that you would need to artificially inflate your prices across the board by 3%, which is obviously against the business approach that higginson has always taken.
