Hi, I am currently dealing with a gentleman via e-mail about purchasing a rifle. I heard about the rifle in this forum when he asked where he could sell it (asking about the EE) but he said if interested people should e-mail him, so I did, because I am. Anyways, are there any precautions I should take If we have a deal?

I was nervous on my first trade, but if they got good feedback and have been a member for awhile, you are good to go. Just cover your basics. Get all the contact info you need (address and phone #). Give them a ring if you are still concerned. All my dealings have been great experiences!

Good Luck!

The thing is, he is new to CGN. I did not find out about the sale directly on the EE. He was asking where to post an add and he mentioned if anyone interested should e-mail him about it. So far i have no reason to be fearful, as he is quick to respond to my e-mails and answers all of my questions fully and seems like a nice guy, But I am a paranoid person so it might just be hype on my part.

I have sold to people with no feedback with no problems. As long as they send the money first, the CFC will sort out the rest . The deal wont happen if they have no PAL anyhow. The CFC can keep it on the up and up. Most people are good folks around here. But for buying from someone with no feedback, I'd definately get a Phone number and contact info including email address, talk to them physically on the phone, then proceed. If it smells like fish, chances are there is a trout rotting in the trunk. Make sure you use your spidey sense, and things will turn out well. Encourage the guy to register on the EE, that way he won't lose this transaction as a first Positive feedback.
