Just wondering if it's advisable to use this for let's say a 230gn 45Colt load going around 950fps. I've around 40lbs that I was originally setting aside for 7/8oz 12ga slugs which gives me in the neighborhood of some 730 odd slugs. I'd be happy with about half that as I don't see myself shooting more than a dozen per range trip where I bring along the 12ga. Any advice is much appreciated.

Ok I was worried about the possibilty of leading due to using the softer alloy but after skimming through that text my worries are put to rest. Thanks for the link Skinny.

Amos,no plans on pushing the softer alloy that fast but can see where paper patching can come into play(oversized bores/undersized bullets). Thanks for the tip. I'll be getting a new mold when I acquire a 45Colt carbine that can withstand the hotter loads, one that I can apply gas checks plus I'll use the harder WW alloy.
