Hey all

I was loading some .308 today with 760 winchester and that pesky stuff sometimes likes to cling via static in the powder funnel as i was charging cases. I was racking my brain trying to come up with a solution to the problem . I went down to the laundry room and raided the family stash of dryer sheets and it turns out that this works FANTASTIC! Not too mention my .308 loads are going to smell bounce fresh! Thought I would share this little tip.... and get a few laughs too. Now even the wifes' bounce stash is not safe...... She's just shakin her head at me..... Cheers,

Takman:)

Thanks, I'll have to try that. I find when I go to empty the powder dispensor, its clinging to the clear plastic tube that holds the powder.

I use bounce for everything!

I first tried it 6 or 7 yrs ago (I forget who gave me the tip) when I was having trouble with my Muzzle loaders quick loads...... I usually bounce everything on my bench as soon as I see a grain/flake sticking.

I've had better success with slightly used dryer sheets for removing static from plastics. The new sheets have some film that I found tends to streak the plastic.

Tumbler too

The Anti-Cling/static sheets works great in the tumbler to prolong the life of the medium and cut back dust. They work best when used once in laundry and then cut into 1 inch squares. Use 2 or 3 and replace them every batch to get best effort out of them. They'll be filthy anyway and using used ones is recycling. ;)
Used sheets work well to remove static from funnels, measuring spoons and anything powder comes in contact with. I too found new ones left some residue on things, but the once used ones don't.
