putting a boyds stock on a mauser k98 question.

Ihave a mauser k98 with a stepped barrel.

I would like to put a boyds stock on it but cant figure out if I need a stock with the Military barrel channel or the #1 barrel channel.?

I didn't realize there was a diffferance in the barrels? Can anyone tell me what they are before I find a stock?

The military barrel is stepped. #1 channel would be for a sporter contour.

does anyone know where I can get a Boyds stock now? As I have heard they no longer ship to canada.
Maybe I'm mistaken, I know they will ship under 100 bucks but I see most of their stocks are just over that limit.

Try Richards Microfit. I got a stock last year from their bargain bin for $85.00 shipped. there is lots of semi-finished, inletted for K98's with military barrel channels in their bargain bin right now. You could also go all out and put a tripl AAA fancy walnut on if you wanted!
