Putting a FF rail on a Colt LE6920/6921 - WOULD YOU?

Would you put a FF rail on a Colt LE6920 or 14.5" LMT?

  • NO TO BOTH - hurts the resale too much, if you just need a VG a drop in rail works just as well/

  • NO TO A COLT LE but a LMT 14.5 sure why not if you have the cash. Only a Colt is a Colt.

With the price of a Colt LE6920 (and God forbid a 6921) going up and up, would you put a FF rail on yours or even a 14.5” LMT knowing you would have to permanently bubba/remove the standard handrails. IE. Would you sacrifice re-sale for function?

I don't think it is a problem if you know what you are doing, and you don't put crappy cheapo rail on it. THe worse thing is that the stupid FSB pins won't come out....For myself, I won't buy an upper that has been monkeyed unless I know the person who did the job knows what he is doing.

I have put FF Rails on my 6920s and my 921 but they don't really make much difference to accuracy, they will help bolt life on high use guns though. On my current 921 upper I simply used a KAC RAS and am happy I did.
