Putting up my coyote fur

This is the year I took the to the task of putting up my own fur. Im not doing it for profit, but more as a hobby. So far Ive built my own fleshing beam out of oak, made some coyote stretchers and fox stretchers and have had success with three, Ive wrecked a few before I could get the hang of fleshing.
Here are some pics I thought Id share, these are 3 coyotes that are finished and could go to auction. Fur isnt prime but its good to learn on these guys I figure. Cant wait till Dec. when I have vacation and can hunt them with no pressure from deer hunters.

Are these hides now preserved or do they require some finishing?

by the looks of those stretching boards beside the three pelts, you are expecting to bag some really long coyotes

They are long but thats NAFA spec for the boards. Gives room to stretch and let the tail hang and then have some space on the bottom.

I usually pull them by hand or use a cheap tail puller I bought.

A pair of slip joint hog nosed pliers works just as well, is easy on the hands and when they aren't pulling tails doubles as a functional set of pliers. Million and one uses. Make that a million and two.

I found that an 8" PVC pipe works well for fleshing, among other things... I set the beam up level...

Then I started making the rawhide differently and didn't need it...

Neat idea, I made mine with several holes to handle everything from weasel on up lol.

I was gonna go with PVC but nobody carries it around here, lumber yards that is, only 4"

LOl yeah., might actually find a few on the ground today, winds are clocking in around 90 KM here in Moose Jaw.
