This is a review of the PWS T3 Lever. I bought mine from Questar. They say it can take anywhere from 4-6 weeks to order in but in reality I got mine in 3 so it's not bad at all. I think in total with shipping and taxes it came out to be about $40. It is a drop in replacement for the factory mag release. It is an extended mag release so it is compatible with the Promag AA922 magazines with the AR style shells. Test use with the Ruger 10rd rotary magazine and a 10rd Butler Creek steel lips mag both resulted in both dropping free. The following are some pictures of it installed on my SR-22.

The curvature of the T3 lever follows that of the trigger guard. It Ts out on both sides of the trigger guard which allows for ambidextrous use. I only have the left side photographed in this instance. To use the mag release you push forward on either side of the 'T'.

As you can see the T3 lever does not impair the usage of the bolt release. The T3 lever sits right next to the bolt release.

Special things to take note in regards to its usage with Promag AA922 magazines with the shell:
- it will work with the shelled versions without modifications to the shell
- testing with a butler creek and a factory rotary mag, they fell free when used in conjunction with the T3 lever. The Promag mags however do not drop free. Pressing the T3 lever and then tilting my rifle forward will then result in the Promags dropping free without any additional assistance.
- after insterting a Promag mag, the T3 lever seems to come off from resting on the trigger guard seemingly hover over it. This seems to be normal with these mags as they are still firmy locked in the magwell

Installation:
The installation was actually pretty simple. The hardest part was actually trying to determine how to put it back together again. Even then it only took about 10 mins. Keep in mind I dropped this in the first time when I disassembled the rifle. For someone who is seasoned in breaking down their rifle the installation would take only a minute or two. It is a completely drop in replacement part so there was no need for fitting or filing to make it fit.

Use:
I had the chance to try it out in a range setting last weekend. The utility of the T3 lever only really demonstrated itself with the factory 10rd rotary mag. I always found it a little awkward trying to work the factory paddle style release while trying to catch the rotary mag. Because the Promags do not drop freely on their own the utility of the T3 lever decreases. This does not mean that I don't enjoy using it however. With the promags, I use the same consistent grip to insert and take out the mag. I find this allows me to grip the Promags at the base when inserting and removing the mags which gives me more leverate on the mags making it easier to insert and remove. If I was less concerned about damaging the shells I could possibly try pressing the T3 lever and then quickly rolling the gun in order to "fling it" out of the rifle and therefore making it a true one hand mag release operation.
