I was impressed by the look (and cost) of the B&C stocks that Mad_Mikee referred to in this post:

However, it seems that the Alaskan II model (#2461) has a magnum barrel channel and I want to get a replacement stock for my Rem 700 BDL LA with a standard contour barrel. Has anyone used this stock on a non-magnum barrel and can comment on how much of a gap is present around the barrel? Any recommendations for a B&C model that will fit the 700 LA BDL action and has a normal barrel channel --- the descriptions on rifle-accuracy.com are a bit confusing to me in that regard.
