Hi there, can anyone suggest a spotting scope that can have a camera attached to it?

I don't need super quality - just something serviceable. The camera attachment likewise just needs to be serviceable, something like a c-mount would be great but I could work around anything. Does such a thing exist?

I want to be able to attach the camera to have the camera look though the scope. I don't need to co-view with the camera, I can use the camera's output for my viewing. Only the camera needs to look though the spotting scope.

Used to be that Bushnell sold spotters that also accepted a M42 screw mount adapter for various SLR's....not sure if they still do and of course since many/most have switched to digital ... not sure if this is still practical.

Nikon made (makes?) a spotter with a digital camera attachment. FWIW you could alternatively buy a telephoto for your camera....and adapt it to the spotter role (a sort of reverse approach) ... Nikon also made an adapter that converted their "F" series telephoto's to a spotting scope. AP

Un, Celestron Ultima models in 65mm, 80mm, and 100mm will all take a T2 mount for almost any SLR and have a universal mount available for digital cameras. FS
